Dr. R. Chiu joined Nephrology Associates of Southwestern Ohio in 2009 after finishing his nephrology fellowship in Brown University at Rhode Island. He completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He finished his medical degree in Cebu Doctors’ University, Philippines. Dr. Chiu was voted to the 2024 Top Doctors List in Nephrology by Cincinnati Magazine.

Dr. S. Brahmbhatt joined Nephrology Associates of Southwestern Ohio in August 2018 after finishing his nephrology fellowship in Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency at Morristown Medical Center / Atlantic Heath System, Morristown, New Jersey. He finished his medical degree in C.U. Shah Medical College and Hospital, Surendra Nagar, Gujarat, India. Dr. Brahmbhatt is a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), Renal Physician Association (RPA), National Kidney Foundation (NKF), American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN), Kidney Foundation of Ohio (KFO), and American College of Physicians; ACP Ohio Chapter. Dr. Brahmbhatt was voted to the 2024 Top Doctors List in Nephrology by Cincinnati Magazine.

Dr. Estella will be joining Nephrology Associates of Southwestern in 2024 after finishing his nephrology fellowship at University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his residency at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He finished his medical degree at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. A native of Peru, Dr. Estella is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Vangapalli is a board-certified Nephrologist with advanced training in transplant nephrology. All her training is from Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia hospital, including Internal medicine residency (Board certified in 2022), Nephrology (Board certified in 2024) and transplant fellowship. Her clinical expertise encompasses the comprehensive management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and a strong commitment to improving access to kidney transplantation. In addition to overseeing transplant evaluation, Dr.Vangapalli manages post-transplant care, including immunosuppression management, rejection monitoring, and long-term graft preservation. She is dedicated to patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and promoting equity in transplant services. Through her clinical work and advocacy, Dr. Vangapalli strives to ensure that transplantation is recognized and utilized as the optimal therapy for all eligible patients.

Jessica joined the practice as a nurse practitioner in 2016. She has five years prior experience as a registered nurse working in the telemetry, oncology and acute care setting. She completed her masters in the science of nursing at the University of Cincinnati. Jessica specialized in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.

Kelsey E. Kies, MSN, AG-ACNP, is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience caring for patients in intensive care, emergency medicine, and inpatient hospital settings.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing in 2016.
Throughout her career, Kelsey has cared for complex patients with a wide range of medical conditions and varying levels of illness. After a decade in intensive care and hospital medicine, she looks forward to becoming a trusted member of the nephrology team and providing comprehensive, collaborative, high-quality kidney care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and three dogs, traveling whenever possible, hiking, boating on Norris Lake, and needlepointing.

Mark joined NASWO in 2023. He attended The University of Toledo Physician Assistant School and graduated with his Masters in Biomedical Sciences degree in 2020. He passed his board certification and obtained his license to practice as a PA in 2021. He started his career in Men’s health and Urgent Care before transitioning into Nephrology. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and many pets.
